Welcome to insideout

Due to our recent growth and success (thanks to you - our readers!), we will now be appearing through your letter box even more regularly, together with your favourite local paper. So please look out for us and get in touch. We want to hear your stories and write about things that you're interested in.
Our aim is to champion the best of our area and take you on a voyage into your favourite shops and restaurants, through the beauty salon and into the lives of interesting local characters. We aim to show what an inspiring part of the country we live in, one that enjoys all the benefits of modern living but which still very much cherishes our unique heritage and history. So if you, your business or you know someone who should be featured, please drop me an email and let's talk. This is your magazine and we want you involved.

This issue has a definite autumnal feel. There's something magical about autumn (especially if we get the late Indian summer we've been promised!). Well, we can still hope! Although I have to admit, I love rediscovering my winter clothes again. However, I have definitely decided I need a new wardrobe - preferably of the walk-in / dressing room variety as I've been amazed by all the new designs out there.

You'll also find everything from fashion and food to property and people in the following pages - and if you're getting married, make sure you check out our special wedding section starting on page 21. It seems autumn is a great time to tie the knot!

  Editor, Claire Reynaud is a highly experienced writer who joined Observer Standard in 2000 and set up the magazine division in 2002. Born in Birmingham, Claire is passionate about the importance of regional publishing but having just written her first screenplay, Hollywood is also knocking at her door.
- Vanessa Bradford

  Sales Manager, Vanessa Bradford joined Observer Standard in 1993, initially in a telesales position with the newspapers. Fifteen years later, she uses her vast experience, effervescent personality and never ending enthusiasm to launch awardwinning titles and provide a second to none service for our advertisers.

  Feature Writer, Maria Clift has just celebrated her sixth year with Observer Standard Newspapers Ltd. and has contributed to all our magazine titles since 2002. With a keen interest and enthusiasm for writing, Maria is always on the lookout for interesting and captivating editorial content to showcase what our region has to offer.

  Despite being born in deepest darkest Bromsgrove, 30 year old Graphic Designer Lee Bryan has always harboured a love for typography, graphic design and all things from the 1960's. He spends whatever spare time he has donning an afro and playing guitar behind his head - groovy.
- Sarah Gasby

  Dynamic 23 year old Graphic Designer Sarah has always had a flair for the creative side of life. She is a published photographer and has a keen interest in Vintage Lomography cameras as well as digital photography. Her love of design also spreads to web design making her a good all rounder.
- Caroline Keight

  Sales Executive, Caroline Keight, joined Observer Standard Newspapers' magazine division at the beginning of 2008, fresh from travelling the world. Young, vibrant, always smiling, and complete with a degree in Photography, gained at Newcastle University, Caroline has brought a creative flair to her sales role, which sees her using her photography skills throughout our magazine's pages.
- Jan Holden

  Our newest sales member of the team, Jan Holden, offers twelve years sales experience along with a background in IT. With a desk she insists is 'organised chaos', Jan has successfully proven her selling abilities with great charm and character to all our customers and has quickly become an asset to the magazine department.
- Tim Purslow
  Email Tim
  Tim is a new-media specialist with a background in archaeology and event management. He splits most of his time these days between online projects and his daughter, Charlotte. As Studio Manager, Tim lends his talents wherever required - generally around deadline time.
